DTMaps - Friends
DTMaps Friends, will allow to subscribed users to create their personal profile, publish it and get in contact with other persons of the same interest.
DTMaps Friends offers both paying and free services.
Free Services. The person consulting the DTMaps Friends system has access to the system for free.
Free Trial Period. Every user of DTMaps Friends has the possibility to create a personal profile and test it for free for a period of 3 days before he/she pays for a monthly fee.
Paying Services. The person who wants to create a profile in the DTMaps Friends system should pay a monthly fee to keep the entry visible to all users.
Consultation. DTMaps Friends offers a new way to consult the database of announcers by defining a geographical area of interest. The system will isolate the announcers of this area and show them through markers on the map, with their distance from the map center. The user will be able to individually browse the announcers and view their profiles.
Confidentiality. DTMaps Friends is a public service. Every anouncer should carefully avoid personal information that should be published like: first name, last name, personal address, phone number, photo and allow contact only through anonymous services like: instant messengers.
DTMaps Friends will not categorize your announcement through any kind of criteria. The announcer is free to enter and format his/her entry freely using conventional HTML code.
a) not to use it for purposes defamatory, offensive, contrary to public order and morality, pornographic, or to disseminate information or objects that meet these criteria or other criteria illegal
b) not to use in order to threaten, harass third or impair the rights of others, or to promise or require another of money or a benefit paid
c) not to transfer data carriers of the virus (infected programs), or including software or other material protected by law including intellectual property, unless the user is the holder of that right or has received permission necessary for this purpose
d) not to be used to interfere in any manner whatsoever the access of other users to offers
e) to send mail to other users that only in order to establish a communication purely private and personal, excluding any other purpose, especially for extolling the merits or propose the sale of products or services other users unless it has been expressly authorized by FriendScout24.
f) not to circulate email messages
g) name in his personal description (profile) no name, address, phone number and fax machines, in particular no email address or URL.
Without prejudice to the civil and criminal actions that can be implemented by any person against the user violates the obligations listed above and more broadly the laws and regulations, DTMaps Friends reserves the right to terminate the contract without notice, and immediately block access to its services and database user offender. Moreover, DTMaps Friends may also decide to remove without notice, or the complete profile of the offender from its database, only the disputed elements of this profile.
Finally, in cases of alleged use of unauthorized or illegal, DTMaps Friends is entitled to check the contents provided by users, as appropriate to prohibit the dissemination of these data and to immediately block 'Access in accordance with the provisions of paragraph III, (2) hereof. In case of doubt concerning the use issue, the final decision rests with DTMaps Friends, what the user accepts without reservation.
- In the address field, enter either the town name or address of the
area of your interest
- Zoom down to a level that covers your area of interest
- In the Seach Categories field select: Friends
- In the Search Queries field select the category of announcers you
desire
- Under the Results list you will see the announcers meeting your
criteria with an equivalent marker on the map.
- Click on an announcer's line or marker and you will get on the right
pane the announcement details.

- If not yet.. you should first subscribe
to DTMaps.
To do this follow this procedure..
- Create your profile description using
an HTML editor like MS FrontPgae, otherwise you can use a simple text
editor.
- Get the URL link of your personal web site.
You will use it later.
- Enter the Admin option
- Login, if not already done.
- Select Friends, Add
- Provide the exact profile location
using the map element
- Kind. Select appropriate value.
- Name/Profile/Id. Use here your a
pseydonym and not
your real name.
- Description/Details. In here
enter the HTML code you provided previously (select only between the
HTML and the /HTML tags) or enter clear texte.
Do not forget to provide here the ways users will be able to contact you.. usually and Instant Messaging account.
- Link/URL. Enter here the URL link of your personal web site (if available).
- Fill the other fields at your convenience
- Click on Submit.

- Can I create multiple profiles?
Yes. There is no limit to the number of profiles you can create.
- Where should my photos be stored?
Your photos should be stored in an external server (your web site) and linked to the DTMaps Friends profile.
- Do you support multiple languages?
Yes. We support the Unicode set of characters which covers more than 30 languages.
- Can I use the mobile or desktop version to access and modify my
profiles?
Yes. DTMaps Friends interface will run on both types of devices.
- How can I stop my profile from being displayed?
Change the Active flag to 0.
- My profile is expired. Should I create a new one ?
No, you can extend the expire date of your profile by purchasing a plan.
- We are a private club of members. How can we have DTMaps Friends
used only by our members and displaying only our profiles?
- Subscribe to DTMaps (global id)
- Create all member profiles under the global Id and declare all profiles Private.
- Provide the Global Id and Readonly password to the members.
- Every user should login under the Settings tab, using the global id and the readonly password.
They will be able to use DTMaps only with the club's members.
- Can I create profiles in multiple geographicla areas?
Yes, you can.
- Can I vew/modify my expired profile?
Yes, you can but the profile will not be displayed ot queries of other users.
